Senior Project Manager – Remote/Cardiff - 3 Months Initial Contract VIQU have partnered with an NHS trust in Cardiff to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager for a critical software development project in a key delivery phase. This role will ensure strong governance, risk management, and delivery progress across technical and business teams. The Role As Senior Project Manager, you will take full ownership of delivering project outcomes, aligning workstreams, managing dependencies, and keeping stakeholders engaged. Acting as the central point of coordination, you’ll ensure milestones are met, governance standards upheld, and risks addressed proactively. Key Responsibilities Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the software development project within scope, time, and quality standards. Maintain RAID logs, risk registers, and assurance documentation, implementing effective mitigations. Oversee accurate, timely project documentation, governance packs, and reporting. Drive delivery through tracking actions, managing dependencies, and ensuring accountability across teams. Prepare highlight reports, board packs, and steering group materials. Engage senior stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication. Coordinate activities such as workshops, UAT sessions, and governance meetings (virtual/occasional in-person). Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, NHS standards, and project best practice. Skills & Experience Proven Senior Project Manager experience, ideally in digital transformation or software delivery in complex environments. Strong project governance, risk management, and delivery assurance expertise. Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in Agile/Scrum environments. Proficient in Microsoft Project, and SharePoint for planning, tracking, and reporting. Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. Role: Technical Project Delivery Manager (Resource Management Systems) Location: South Wales (working pattern TBC) Duration: 12 Month initial contract Rate: £500 - £600 per day (Negotiable) IR35 Status: TBC We are currently working with a well established, large-scale organisation who require Technical Project Delivery Manager to join the organisation. The client need a candidate who possesses previous experience deploying end to end delivery solutions and ideally, resource management frameworks and systems. You will lead the end to end set up of a new resource management system and support technical project delivery initiatives.
