Mission freelance Field Engineer

Our client is looking for an IT Field Engineer to work fully onsite in York. This would be an initial 6 month contract with an hourly rate of £22.10 Inside IR35.

Job Profile Summary:
Installs, repairs and provides technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, mainly on customer premises. Ensures systems operate as designed and are maintained and/or upgraded per requirements. Works collaboratively with technical colleagues to ensure customers receive timely, effective and seamless service. Schedules services, completes all required administration and works with customers to ensure satisfaction with service delivery and understanding of product functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
* Serves as Field Engineer for specific clients and/or for specific products and applications, including tech kiosks / desks.
* Provides software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, AV rooms and other networked devices.
* Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers, peripherals and other networked devices.
* Supports network products from both operational and maintenance perspectives, including preventative maintenance activities.
* Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required.
* Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications.
* Provides follow-up on problems or escalations.
* Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanour and dress.
* Meets SLA requirements and ensures client satisfaction in all interactions.

Key Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
May require technical certification or Associate Degree
Generally, 1-2years' experience in area of responsibility
