Mission freelance Storage Specialist

Our client is looking for a Senior Storage Specialist to work on a fully remote basis. The role has been deemed Inside IR35 with an hourly rate of £60-62. This would bean initial contract until the end of October 2026.

Day to day responsibilities:
* Build and support enterprise-grade SAN environments.
* Manage and configure Brocade/Cisco SAN switches, including:
o ICL setup
o Secure configurations
o Fabric and zone merges
o Switch and fabric build-outs
o Security policy enforcement
* Provide 3rd Line operational support and lead migration projects (e.g., Global SAN refresh).
* Design and deliver strategic enterprise storage infrastructure.
* Handle product lifecycle management and ensure compliance with IT policies and standards.

Required Skills & Experience:
* Expertise in Brocade Gen6/Gen7 FCIP switches.
* Strong knowledge of SAN switch architecture, zoning, and secure fabric design.
* Proven experience in enterprise storage environments.
* Ability to resolve complex issues and high-severity incidents.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
