Healthcare Business Analyst :
Location : 2-3 Days per week onsite in Bath
Duration : 6 months contract
IR35 Status : Outside IR35
Clearance level : SC clearance ideal

To support the implementation of a clinical system, a Healthcare Business Analyst (BA) acts as the critical bridge between clinical workflows and technical solutions. Their primary goal is to ensure the new system enhances patient care, streamline operations, and meets regulatory standards.

To implement a dental clinical system effectively, a Healthcare Business Analyst (BA) must focus on clinical safety and organisation-specific configuration. This role is highly operational, often requiring the analyst to manage the end-to-end process, including governance and stakeholder buy-in.

We need an experienced healthcare BA ideally with knowledge of dental systems, transformation and business change expertise, to support the business in ensuring all documented requirements are up to date. Support the procurement of a system, and subsequent implementation.

clinical systems and healthcare business analysis experience is important. This specific role will be focused on the business analysis required to implement a dental system .

Core Responsibilities
* Requirements Gathering: Leading workshops and interviews with clinicians and administrators to elicit, define, and document complex clinical needs.
* Process Mapping: Evaluating "as-is" clinical workflows and designing "to-be" processes that align with the new system's functionality.
* System Configuration & Design: Collaborating with technical teams to translate user requirements into functional specifications and assisting in system configuration.
* Stakeholder Management: Acting as a liaison to ensure digital solutions are explained in clinical language while turning user needs into technical requirements.
* Testing & Quality Assurance: Developing test plans, creating user stories, and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the system is fit for purpose.
* Implementation Support: Providing training and ongoing support to healthcare staff during "Go Live" phases and system upgrades.


Previous experience and skillset:
* Experience of working on a major digital transformation programme within a healthcare environment.
* Experience of working in healthcare environments, including dental services (desirable).
* Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills within a healthcare environment especially experience working with Dentists, GPs, Nurses, and associated Allied Health Professionals.
* Requirements capture including elicitation, analysis and documentation in a healthcare environment including the use of MOSCOW techniques, User/Persona Stories and User/Persona Journey.
* Opportunistic Identification and capture of Benefits and realisation.
* Healthcare Pathway analysis and documentation including re-design to work with new digital/IT services.
* Process mapping and re-design to work with new digital/IT services.
* Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other supporting collateral to support new Information Systems/Services implementation - supporting the business change team.
* Broad experience of, and recent exposure to, digital healthcare.
* Track record of effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff within a healthcare environment.
