Job Context:

As part of strengthening its IT department, an international company based in Luxembourg is looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Operations Engineer.

The objective is to ensure the stability, performance, and security of critical systems and infrastructure, while actively contributing to technological development projects with a significant impact on operations.

This position is ideal for a versatile, curious individual who is passionate about complex and multi-technology environments.

Your main responsibilities:

Operations & Support

• Provide level 2 and 3 support for high-impact incidents.

• Identify the root causes of recurring problems and propose lasting solutions.

• Supervise and maintain all installed systems and infrastructure.

• Implement proactive platform monitoring to anticipate risks.

• Automate recurring tasks using scripts to optimize operations.

• Ensure the security and compliance of data and IT environments.

Projects & Enhancements

• Participate in the design and implementation of hardware, software, and network architectures.

• Conduct tests, POCs, and deployments in UAT and pre-production environments.

• Contribute to the planning and coordination of IT changes in conjunction with internal teams and external partners.

• Provide reporting and track project deliverables.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between user needs and technical solutions.

Required Technical Skills:

You are proficient in several of the following areas:

1) Systems:

• Windows Server (AD, Exchange, SQL Server, clustering)

• Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu or equivalent)

2) Cloud & Virtualization:

• Microsoft Azure, Office 365

• VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix

Monitoring & Backup:

• SCOM, SCCM, Zabbix, Commvault

3) Network & Security:

• Knowledge of firewalls, VLANs, load balancing, WLAN

• Access management, server hardening, patch management

4) Tools & Scripting:

• PowerShell, Bash or equivalent for automation
