Deskptop Support Analyst Key Accountabilities: Assisting with overseeing the security aspects of the company / project IT set-up including websites that may be hosted internally or externally. Liaison with potential and confirmed collaborators and their IT support partners / staff in coming into and operating within the Manufacturing centre. Proactive assistance with the systems implementations projects to assist with a smooth implementation and roll out. Ensuring that all IT assets are properly controlled and software is correctly licensed and that acceptable service levels are maintained across all systems. Dealing with hardware issues, desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices both in person and remotely. Providing Desktop/Laptop support including the following technologies: Microsoft Office 365 products – Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, Windows 7, desktops, laptops, printers, networked copiers and others as assigned. Providing investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for hardware / software problems. When unable to resolve, escalating in accordance with Help Desk escalation processes. Managing service requests, software installations, new computer setups, upgrades, etc. Providing enhancement request feedback to IT regarding technology environment and customer needs through the defined processes. Support of VoIP telephony and Android mobile phones. Working with TCP/IP and resolving general networking issues. Experience: Extensive IT/Commercial experience gained within a fast-paced environment? Experience of GAMP 5 and working within a GxP environment in providing superior customer service and support. Experience of working within a technical support position, covering Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and various business applications within a fast-paced business environment. Proven experience of 1st/2nd and 3rd line infrastructure support. Knowledge of multiple desktop programs, configuration and debugging techniques, VoIP telephony systems, Mobile phone support, network technologies. Project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment. Knowledge / Skills / Competencies: Highly motivated, pragmatic and practical with a strong work ethic and eye for detail with good problem resolution, judgement and decision making skills. Able to evaluate complex situations and find solutions for them in a professional manner. Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks and prioritize workload with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to successfully work both independently and effectively within a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions to non-technology internal client base. A good team player, with strong organisational skills. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field; or equivalent work experience. The position is based in Stevenage. C# .net Developer – Insurance Our Client is an insurance underwriter in the City of London. They are now looking to grow their software development team and are looking to recruit a C# .net Software Developer. You will have at least 5 to 7 years expertise in developing complex software with C#. A strong mathematical background would be advantageous but not required. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Expert in C# Development coupled with Java/jQuery Web development Web API, CSS. You will have solid SQL Server experience (stored procedures, table design and some maintenance). Microsoft Office including VBA and advanced skills in Excel and HTML/IIS. Develop and support applications using Visual Studio and other Products where appropriate. Provide support for Microsoft Office Applications along with design and build reports for our SharePoint Applications. The salary for this role will be up to £50K – for the right candidate maybe slightly higher for exceptional candidates. They are looking to hire an IT Support Technician to work within the UK division of the business. This role offers a self-starting candidate the ability to support a dynamic and fast-growing business, with future opportunities for personal development and career growth within the group. The IT Support Technician will report to the Director of Information Technology, and will support users both at global head office in Central London and in our operating businesses across the UK. The role will be instrumental in ensuring that users benefit from the highest standards of service, including with regards to information security, system availability and change management. Our current core tech stack consists of MS365 + Azure AD, box.com, Airtable, Zoom (+ Zoom Phone), Slack and Salesforce and we support user access to Google Workspace together with various other line of business products. Prior experience administering Azure Active Directory tenancies would be particularly valuable, together with exposure to deployment and maintenance of security tools such as endpoint management and anti-virus. We support both Windows and Mac devices and our users access our services both on corporate machines and BYOD. We are 100% cloud native with no on-premises systems. Specific tasks will include: First line support for users both in person and via support channels. Resolve or escalate issues Hardware setup and configuration, patching and upgrades Support audio-visual / conference room equipment and printers Monitoring and maintaining local networking equipment such as access points, firewalls etc Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of our backup Infrastructure, including laptops and relevant server(s) and other designated cloud backup locations.
