Essential Skills
- Expert-level Python development experience.
- Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable and testable code.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and database optimisation experience.
- Deep understanding of Linux environments.
- Excellent knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) or similar testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake.
- Experience with modern Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with event-streaming technologies including Apache Kafka.
- Experience building data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
- Exposure to Java development.
- Work on cutting-edge electronic trading technology.
- Influence the architecture of business-critical systems.
- Lead projects with real commercial impact.
- Collaborate with high-performing engineering teams across Europe and the US.
