As a Senior Infrastructure Architect, you’ll take ownership of infrastructure decisions across bids, deals and projects, connecting solution architecture with practical implementation and ensuring technology delivers measurable value. You’ll have the freedom to evaluate emerging technologies, challenge assumptions and create innovative approaches while balancing performance, cost and risk. Working alongside solution architects, project teams, specialists and clients, you’ll be supported by CGI’s collaborative community while using your expertise to influence decisions, mentor colleagues and ensure infrastructure solutions remain aligned with both immediate delivery requirements and longer-term business goals.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Profil recherché

In this role, you will take ownership of defining, validating and communicating infrastructure architectures across bids, deals and projects. You’ll bridge the gap between solution architecture, technical delivery, business stakeholders and project management, translating requirements into logical infrastructure models, detailed component specifications and implementable designs.

You’ll act as a focal point for infrastructure teams, bringing together technical expertise from across CGI and our partners to create solutions that balance business outcomes, technical quality, cost and risk. You’ll have the opportunity to explore emerging technologies and challenge established approaches, while collaborating with experienced specialists who will support successful delivery. You’ll also share your expertise through mentoring and knowledge transfer, helping strengthen architectural capability across the team.

• Architect & Define – Develop infrastructure architectures, logical models, component specifications and detailed designs aligned with the wider solution architecture.

• Lead & Influence – Act as the architectural focal point for infrastructure teams and set clear expectations with technical and business stakeholders.

• Advise & Innovate – Assess current and emerging technologies and provide evidence-based recommendations on suitability, performance and cost.

• Assure & Review – Lead and support technical design reviews to ensure infrastructure solutions meet requirements, standards and quality expectations.

• Manage & Mitigate – Own infrastructure concerns and architectural decisions while identifying and managing technical and non-technical risks.

• Optimise & Scale – Ensure non-functional requirements including availability, scalability, capacity and performance are addressed throughout the design.

• Estimate & Plan – Consolidate infrastructure effort and cost estimates from internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors to support project planning.

• Align & Deliver – Work with project managers, solution architects and specialist teams to make effective use of resources throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Engage & Present – Develop architectural proposals and confidently present infrastructure solutions and recommendations to clients.

• Mentor & Support – Share architectural knowledge and support the development of colleagues across multidisciplinary teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

You’ll bring significant experience designing and assuring enterprise infrastructure solutions, with the ability to move confidently between high-level architectural thinking and the detailed considerations required for successful implementation. You should be comfortable taking ownership of decisions, advising clients and working across multidisciplinary teams while balancing technical requirements, commercial considerations and delivery risk.

• Strong experience designing enterprise infrastructure architectures within complex environments.

• Proven ability to translate solution and business requirements into logical models, component specifications and detailed infrastructure designs.
