An excellent opportunity awaits a software engineer with commercial experience with Java and/or Kotlin to join a leading and award-winning Tech for Good SME in a role offering the opportunity to work on products that positively impact the world we live in, alongside great training and development opportunities and a strong engineering culture.

In this role, you'll join an established but growing cross-functional engineering team and work on developing the supporting tools and applications for the infrastructure and platforms the business develops across the full development lifecycle. You will shape the future of UK energy products and services. You will be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering team and have opportunities to lead and take ownership of projects. This is a hybrid role based three days per week in the Central London office.

The ideal candidate will have a solid, hands-on commercial background working with Java, as well as JavaScript experience (ideally React or Vue), alongside experience working with AWS on the cloud infrastructure side. Any experience working with Kotlin or developing with Kotlin would be an advantage. The ideal person will be looking to work for a forward-thinking Tech4Good business.

The Role:
* Join a cross-functional engineering team building tools and applications that support green energy infrastructure and platforms.
*Work across the full development lifecycle, contributing to both backend (Java/Kotlin) and frontend (React/Vue) solutions.
*Help shape and evolve UK energy products, with real ownership and input into technical direction.
*Hybrid position based in Central London (3 days per week in the office).

The Person:
*Solid commercial experience with Java, plus JavaScript (React or Vue preferred).
*Experience working with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
*Comfortable or looking to take ownership and contributing within a collaborative engineering team.
*Motivated by working in a forward-thinking Tech for Good business with impact.
*Based within commutable distance to Central London
