Are you a self-motivated front-end engineer with a passion for transforming complex scientific and engineering data into engaging, user-friendly interfaces? CGI’s Secure Space Systems business is expanding rapidly, and we’re looking for an experienced JavaScript developer to join our innovative team. You’ll be working on projects that range from early-stage prototyping to full-scale agile developments—solving challenging problems in Space Situational Awareness, Space Domain Awareness, and Command & Control.

What You’ll Do:



• Develop Engaging Interfaces: Create efficient, high-quality user experiences using JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5.



• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams in dynamic, agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, and DevSecOps) to rapidly adapt to evolving requirements.



• Present Complex Data: Transform intricate scientific and engineering data into intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that empower users.



• Innovate in a Fast-Paced Environment: Engage with diverse projects, learn new technologies, and contribute to cutting-edge solutions in the space sector.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Technical Expertise: Strong experience in JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5.



• Teamwork & Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to thrive in a dynamic, agile setting where priorities can shift quickly.



• Adaptability: A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with a love for learning and adapting to new challenges.





• Angular & Bootstrap: Experience with Angular 12+ and Bootstrap, as well as a strong grasp of the modern JavaScript development tool chain.



Highly Desirable Skills:



• Back-End Exposure: Experience in Java is highly desirable.



Additional Assets:



• UX Design Systems: Familiarity with the Astro Space UX Design System.



• Agile Development: Previous exposure to Agile methodologies or similar technologies (training provided if necessary).



• Advanced Technologies: Knowledge of big data technologies (HBase, Hadoop), machine learning frameworks (Spark), or orbit dynamics is of interest.
