We are currently recruiting for a Project - Actuarial Reporting Consultant to join our Corporate Actuarial team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

The key purpose of this fixed term role is to enhance reporting as part of a project covering regulatory and statutory reporting. This will involve preparing, analysing, calculating, validating and reporting on Solvency II/UK, IFRS17 and wider reporting of our reserves and technical provisions.

We are currently recruiting for a Project - Actuarial Reporting Consultant to join our Corporate Actuarial team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
You'll make an impact by:
The key purpose of this fixed term role is to enhance reporting as part of a project covering regulatory and statutory reporting. This will involve preparing, analysing, calculating, validating and reporting on Solvency II/UK, IFRS17 and wider reporting of our reserves and technical provisions.
- Contribute to enhancement of quarterly and annual deliverables as part of a project. Support the Actuarial Manager in ensuring that the SII/UK, IFRS17 and wider reporting meet the required external standards and internal policies and are booked accordingly with the relevant controls completed. Responsible for explaining the P&L and balance sheet impacts of this work.
- Solvency II technical provision data, assumptions, and calculations, for example: payment patterns, discounting, ENIDs, risk margin, reinsurance default, contract boundaries, reinsurance treaty costs, investment expenses, premium provisions, BBNI.
- Many IFRS17 items will be consistent to those for SII/UK (e.g. ENIDs, payment patterns), but there are other IFRS17 specific requirements under the accountability of this team such as: discounting and split between build/unwind/MYA, PAA eligibility tests, onerous contracts, risk adjustment, IFRS17 finance reconciliations, IFRS17 reporting, GMM requirements
- Interacting with the Actuarial Operational team to ensure data, system and process needs are appropriate to support our products.
- Liaising with Finance to ensure alignment on SII/UK and IFRS17 Finance processes and aspects such as future premiums, receivables, expenses, DAC.
- Reporting such as IFRS-SII bridges, Solvency II/UK QRTs, linking in with Finance on IFRS17 disclosures.
- Close co-operation and co-ordination with reserve review teams to ensure well-rounded and coherent outputs is essential.
To be successful in your role you will need:
- Experience within General Commercial Insurance ideally within Specialty Lines
- Experience covering Regulatory and Statutory reporting
- Appropriate actuarial training, qualification and experience commensurate to the expectations set out above.
- The job holder should possess a good understanding of the business area they are responsible for and wider industry hot topics.
- Credibility to operate in support of the UK Actuarial leaders, work as part of an effective team, and to drive continuous improvement.
- Relationship and trust building with senior actuarial colleagues and the business is paramount
