Azure Architect - 6 - Month Contract - London

VIQU have partnered with a Finance company who are seeking an Azure Architect contractor to own all day to day cloud project requests/ enquires while the Team is focused on a large business critical project.

You will be asked to engage with the Solutions Architect Team to translate HLD to LLD and then support the Engineering Teams through to completion. Experience working in a mirco segmented environment will be hugely beneficial as well as excellent communication.

The role:

This role will involve supporting projects in the design/implementation and governance of new cloud services. This role involves working closely with other architecture teams and collaborating with the cloud platform engineering team.

Key skills & responsibilities for the Azure Architect role:

• Experience supporting and leading IT technical implementation activities





• Proven experience in technology architecture and design with proven knowledge of Azure computing, infrastructure and network design and security architecture.





• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and deployment scripting technologies such as Terraform, Ansible





• Experience in DevSecOps principles and the delivery of infrastructure resources through code and secure pipelines.





• Experience of translating business requirements into technical high-level designs, and the ability to produce detailed technical specifications and documentation.





• Experience of prototyping / proof of concept exercises to validate and evaluate the benefits of a technology against a business need





• Ability to translate complex architectural issues and details and communicate effectively with IT and non-IT staff at all levels





• Facilitation and collaboration skills, comfortable leading design workshops through to actionable results





• Organisationally savvy, with understanding of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and politics





• Collaborative in decision making but decisive when a decision is required





• Motivated and driven by achieving long-term business outcomes





• Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" with short-term requirements.

• Location: Remote - however the customer would ideally like ad hoc site visits - London
