Financial Crime Policy & Procedure Specialist
£568.75 per day (Inside IR35) | Contract until Dec 2026 | London (Hybrid)
A leading global bank is looking for an experienced Financial Crime Policy & Procedure Expert to support the design and enhancement of FCC policies, standards, and customer‑journey‑centric controls.
Key Focus Areas
- Drafting and maintaining clear, risk‑aligned policies, standards, and procedural documents
- Designing FCC control frameworks across onboarding, KYC, CDD/EDD, screening, TM, and ongoing monitoring
- Translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, executable procedures
- Conducting gap analysis on existing policies to identify inconsistencies or weaknesses
- Partnering with Compliance, Risk, Ops, and Product teams to align documentation to global strategy
- Supporting audit, assurance, and regulatory review needs
- Advising stakeholders on policy interpretation and implementation
- Contributing to transformation programmes and future‑state control design
Experience Required
- 8-12 years in Financial Crime Compliance, Policy Governance, or Risk roles within global banks
- Strong background in writing and managing FCC policies, procedures, and control documentation
- Deep understanding of onboarding, KYC/AML, screening, TM, ongoing due diligence, and customer lifecycle controls
- Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (FATF, JMLSG, OFAC, FCA, MAS, EU AMLD, FinCEN, etc.)
- Excellent writing and communication skills; able to simplify complex regulation
- Stakeholder‑management capability across multiple global teams
