Job Vacancy Backend developer

ROLE IS REMOTE

Languages & frameworks: JavaScript, Spring Boot.
* API & microservices: RESTful API design, API management, microservices architecture, EKS (Kubernetes), Containerisation (Docker).
* Integration: back end layers, Kafka event management, NoSQL (MongoDB/Document DB).
* Security: IDAM/IdP, SSO, RBAC, SSL/TLS, KMS, Graph API
* Cloud operability: AWS telemetry and monitoring.
* Tooling & delivery: Jira, Confluence, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines.

Desirable skills (nice to have)
* Caching & sessions: Redis; session management via Kong.
* Networking: VPC, VPN for secure connectivity.
* Realtime comms: SignalR or equivalent.

Experience profile
* Proven delivery of backend services at scale using JavaScript, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and event driven integrations on AWS.
* Should have knowledge in Kubernetes & Containerisation of Applications (primarily using Docker).
* Strong experience embedding security, observability, and automation into the development lifecycle.
* Track record of CI/CD discipline and Git best practices.
* Collaboration in multi disciplinary teams to meet DWP standards for security, performance, and reliability.
