Recruitment Type - Contractor Rate Circa £600 p/d, Inside IR35 Location of role :Full time On site Clearance Required - DV Working Pattern - Monday - Friday Your role We are looking for an experienced Cloud Resource Manager to join a support team based in Basingstoke to ensure VMware based infrastructure resources meet current and future business needs in a cost-effective, reliable, and scalable manner. In this role, you will ensure the effective management of service operations, adherence to SLAs, and continuous improvement of IT service performance. The ideal candidate has a cloud resource management background, deep knowledge of ITIL practices, a strong understanding of VMware infrastructure resource management and a proven ability to manage service teams and client expectations in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities -Oversee end-to-end delivery of cloud resource services across infrastructure, support functions and in close collaboration with the customer. -Own and execute the resource management processes, including Business, Service, and Component resource management. -Develop and maintain cloud resource plans, forecasts, and models for VMware environments. -Monitor service performance metrics, analyse trends, forecast resource allocation and consumption. -Identify risks, constraints, and performance bottlenecks before they impact services. -Drive service improvement initiatives based on resource data, customer feedback, and technology developments. -Coordinate with internal IT teams (e.g., infrastructure, development, support) to manage scalability and flexibility. Your experience -Strong experience managing Cloud resources. -Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (ITIL v3 or v4 certification preferred). -Experience managing resources within a VMware infrastructure. -Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. -Strong problem-solving capabilities delivering effective solutions based on business priority. -Experience working within cross-functional teams in a complex technical environment. Microsoft Azure solution architect, with a strong application development background to architect application migrations and development on azure platform. Able to work with customer and provide best-fit solutions and able to guide team technically in delivering those solutions. Should have had strong implementation experience in API Management, Data / Application integration and in workload migration and/or large-scale cloud native application. Skills and experience * Azure Certified Solution Architect with deep azure cloud architecture, design and development skills, with overall 12+ years of IT industry experience, and at least 5+ years of working experience with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform * Hands on experience in architecting, implementation solutions in Azure * Proficient in defining and implementing Cloud Azure based solution * Strong development experience on using Azure API Management, Azure LogicApp, Web API, Azure Functions ,Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, Event Grid, Event Hub Azure Kubernetes Service on Azure * Design, build and configure .Net based Microservice Applications to meet business process and application requirements. Junior Project Manager with Applications Our Client is looking to recruit a Junior Project Manager with at least 3 to 5 years experience in IT having come up the ranks from a Business Analyst or a Software Developer. For this role the Client is keen to recruit a Project Manager with knowledge of working a variety of applications - as this role will will focus on application development. Formal Prince 2 / Agile / PMP or similar qualifications to Practitioner level would be very useful. A minimum of 3 to 5 years broad based project management experience – from implementing applications to infrastructure. Must have experience of the full project lifecycle from business engagement, ideation and planning, through delivery (design, build, test) to implementation Keen, enthusiastic and outgoing personality with the ability to engage with the user community and management. Any experience of working in the educational sector on education projects would be very handy. There will be some UK travel required and international travel is possible in future. Milton Keynes base and must be within easy commute. The salary for this role is expected to be in the range £35K - £45K – although the Client may go higher exceptional candidates.
