Your role will involve reporting to the Project Manager and Service Delivery Manager with a focus on monitoring and controlling delivery. The role may also require support to other PMO functions as applicable; this may include supporting change management, document management, procurement and resource management. This is a great opportunity to pursue a career in Project/PMO support and Project Management Mandatory skills: -The Programme Management Office (PMO) provides support across all project and service delivery for the projects which includes site and building access, procurement and management reporting. - The PMO will engage with customer supply chain working with a technical Subject Matter Experts (SME) to validate quotes and respond to technical queries in order that the quotes can be obtained/issued to seek their Authority to Proceed (ATP) that then enables purchase orders (POs) to be raised and approved. -Support the PMO with general day-to-day project/service activities as listed within the PMO Charter. -To support hardware implementation activities, liaising with customer estate managers, creating and analysing reports for Programme management, procurement activity. Your experience * Background in supporting IT projects/programs * A working knowledge of the core PMO support functions (Reporting, Change, RAID, Finance, Planning) * Strong MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project) * Procurement process experience (raising Purchase Orders, obtaining quotes) * Experience at coordinating the production of solution proposals * Preferably Prince2 or P3O accredited * Ability to work with all levels of the business from project resources to senior management Desirable skills: * Attention to detail * Good Communicator both written and verbal * Self-Starter * Strong team player * Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Our client is seeking an experienced Cabling Consultant to lead the design, program management, and execution of large-scale, complex cabling deployments in data center environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in copper, fiber, and InfiniBand cabling systems, as well as proven leadership in managing multi-team operations for projects involving 20,000+ endpoints and large GPU clusters (5,000+ GPUs). You will be responsible for designing standards, building best practices, and supervising partners to ensure high-quality, efficient deployment of structured and point-to-point cabling infrastructures across multiple data halls. This role can be based anywhere in UK but does require extensive travel to: Nordics, France, Portugal, UK, Saudi. All travel expenses are paid for. The rate is around £73.50 per hour but this can be slightly flexible for the right person. Key Responsibilities * Design Leadership o Develop and validate cabling designs for large-scale data center environments, including leaf-spine and superspine architectures. o Define structured and point-to-point cabling standards and best practices for high-density deployments. o Ensure compliance with industry standards and alignment with project specifications. * Program Management o Plan and manage complex cabling projects involving 20,000+ cables across multiple topologies. o Coordinate and oversee multiple teams and partners working in 24x7 shifts to meet aggressive timelines. o Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies. * Deployment Supervision o Lead and supervise partner teams during installation of copper, fiber, and InfiniBand cabling. o Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and quality control throughout the deployment process. o Monitor progress and resolve technical or operational issues promptly. * Standards & Best Practices o Establish and maintain cabling standards, documentation templates, and operational best practices for large-scale programs. o Drive continuous improvement in deployment methodologies and partner performance. Required Skills & Experience * Technical Expertise o Deep knowledge of copper, fiber, and InfiniBand cabling systems. o Experience with large-scale deployments (10,000+ endpoints) and inter-data hall trunking. o Proven experience with cabling for large GPU clusters (5,000+ GPUs). o Familiarity with major cable providers: Corning, Panduit, CommScope. * Project Leadership o Proven ability to program manage complex cabling projects with multiple teams and vendors. o Strong organizational and communication skills to manage 24x7 operations. o Work closely with selected partner and lead them trough cabling phase o Work on definition and alignment of cabling, labelling, remediation teams o Management of shifts, teams rotation, efficient handower o Communication and lead of operations team leads * Attention to Detail o Expertise in cable labeling and documentation for large environments. o Ability to enforce standards and maintain quality under tight deadlines. * Mobility o Ability to travel across EMEA to lead and supervise the largest cabling programs. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in hyperscale or enterprise data center environments. * Knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA) and best practices. * PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
