Find your next tech and IT Job or contract Desktop Publishing Designer
The DTP designer creates the layout of a document before it goes to print. This can be a paper document such as a newspaper, magazine, book, flyer, etc. or a document published online on a website, blog or e-book.
The DTP designer organizes the different parts of a document (images, texts, diagrams, etc.) to make the final product attractive and readable. To do this, they choose the best font, text size, paragraph organization, etc. and adjust images and colors to format the text. They must follow the specifications provided by the client in order to best meet their expectations and deliver a final product that is pleasant to read. They then position the illustrations (images, diagrams, photos, etc.) to appeal to the document's target audience. When the layout is ready, they send it to the publication manager for approval or rejection. If approved, the layout goes to print or is published online.
The DTP designer works in a printing company or in a publishing house. They can also work as a Freelancer for IT companies.
