Digital Transformation Manager Our Client is a global organisation with offices in the City of London. You will lead the Digital Transformation (DX) team to support business units (BUs) in the EU region and drive relationship-based consultations to enhance the businesses with digital solutions, frameworks, and spearhead various digital transformation (DX) projects Leverage the Company’s experience in DX, extensive knowledge base and business networks to bring distinctive insights and new ideas in the DX space for new project formulation (with investment) as well as future-proof existing businesses in the region Function of Position: Deeply understand the individual businesses (undertaken by BUs), the needs, and consult with the person/team in charge with several DX ideas and hypotheses to add value to new investments or increase value to existing investment assets (subsidiaries/affiliates) Develop short-term and long-term DX strategy in support of growth and revenue targets upon investment; Communicate various options, articulate quick wins, and tactics to realize benefits with DX for the respective business/service. Strongly collaborate with DX team members and support with DX use case roll outs for different businesses in various countries Conduct digital due diligence on a target company prior to investment decisions Understand adequate depth and breadth of emerging tech such as AI, Big Data, blockchain, NFT, IoT or metaverse and propose the associated benefits, trade-offs, and implementation strategies to business stakeholders Build innovative service and revenue models with the proposed DX ideas for the respective businesses. Communicate and closely work with team members and share opinions while developing new service models and/or enhance operational efficiency with digital technologies and/or analytics Continuously stay curious and up to date with the market trends/evolving tech to propose solutions for various Mitsui’s businesses across assets in diverse industries Establish trust with internal and external stakeholders along with the hypotheses/DX solutions sharing Relationships: You will be working other team members of Digital Transformation Dept DX team members in the Integrated Digital Strategy Division of the Company Staff working in European offices Staff working in Globally PERSON SPECIFICATION Skills/Knowledge: Good communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) in English Able to act confidently, despite incomplete information; expect iteration and change; lover of new technologies, always asking “how can we do this better/differently?”, “What if..”, etc. Ability to listen and deep-dive pain points in BUs. Be able to summarise them with frameworks Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language. Be able to articulate and passionately present digital concepts to various stakeholders Proficient in sharing ideas/concepts using PowerPoint slides to relevant stakeholders within a short span of time Possess positive/proactive mindset to acquire new knowledge about business to expand his/her expertise independently Patience, empathy, understanding, and common sense. Ability to work as part of the team or on own initiative. Should be a self-motivated and reliable individual. Ability to multi-task, manage shifting priorities and work within strict deadlines. Ability to build a rapport with a wide range of people Ability to naturally communicate his/her ideas with analytical, logical, and abstract reasoning skills in project discussions towards investment decisions Willingness to travel and attend lunch/dinner with customers/clients when required Willingness to work in other countries such as Tokyo, Dubai, Singapore, New York, etc. including short-term training preferably Experience: Experience as Project Manager or Team Leader in Digital Transformation DX projects preferably in Decarbonization, Sustainability or Quality of Life 5-10 years of successful track record in consultancy experience in high growth areas such as retail, healthcare, food, chemical, mobility, energy or metal. Experience in business development and business planning would be beneficial. Education: Bachelor's or master’s degree preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or related degrees The Company is based in the City of London. Job purpose: The Associate Director of Digital Transformation is a crucial strategic role which has responsibility for ensuring the University's strategic portfolio of Digital Transformation is delivered according to KPIs and objectives to support the delivery of the Digital First Strategy. Reporting to the Director of Digital Transformation, this is a senior management position with a broad range of responsibilities across strategic projects and programmes, which impact all areas of the institution. The post holder will ensure the change portfolio operates in a consistent, robust way using our Demand Management processes and Agile project delivery methodology. They will have responsibility for a team of delivery resources, including project managers, business analysts, product owners and technical resources, managing end to end processes from new requirements and demand, analysis, business case development and approval through to overseeing delivery of projects and programmes across the strategic portfolio. Lead transformation at scale. We're hiring a new Digital & Transformation Chief Operating Officer to help lead one of the UK's most ambitious digital transformations. DWP Digital is a £1 billion organisation with over 4,500 digital experts. Together, we design, build and run the technology that powers services for 23 million citizens and supports 90,000 colleagues across the Department for Work and Pensions. Your role and impact As our Digital & Transformation COO, you'll be at the heart of our transformation. You'll bring clarity, pace and precision to how we operate-ensuring our plans are well-governed, our investments deliver value, and our people have the capability and culture to thrive. You'll work closely with the Chief Digital Information Officer, CTO, and other senior leaders to shape and deliver our strategic vision. You'll be a key voice for DWP Digital-internally, across government, and with partners like GDS and HM Treasury. This is a role of real legacy. You'll help build the digital capability of the future, influencing across government and investing in the people and platforms that will serve the UK for decades to come. You will lead and deliver: Performance and Planning Own the operating model and complete view of Digital Group, ensuring governance, planning and ROI. Lead workforce planning for 4,500+ FTE and oversee multi-year investment and delivery plans. Define and track performance through OKRs and KPIs aligned to departmental strategy. Governance and Risk Lead organisational governance and risk management, identifying and resolving blockers early. Represent Digital Group at departmental committees and manage relationships with GIAA. Finance Oversee a £1bn budget and headcount, ensuring financial maturity and value for money. Advise the CDIO on strategic, policy and budgetary matters. Capability and Capacity Partner with People & Capability to build a diverse, skilled and empowered workforce. Lead talent strategy, professionalisation, and capability development across the group. Communications and Engagement Bring our strategy to life through compelling communications and engagement. Foster a culture where people feel informed, inspired and able to do their best work. The skills, experience and knowledge you'll need to demonstrate in your application: Proven senior leadership in digital and change within a mission-critical environment. Experience influencing and managing complex senior stakeholder relationships level in complex, multi-site organisations. A track record of building capability and high-performing teams and cultures through recruitment, coaching, empowerment and development. Demonstrable success in delivering business value, innovation and efficiency with significant budget accountability, in increments in line with user need. Experience setting strategy and tracking progress against deliverables, with experience using OKRs or KPIs to drive outcomes. Why join us?
