This role requires technical expertise in M365, a solid understanding of AI (particularly Microsoft Copilot), and the ability to coach and mentor learners through our apprenticeship programme. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering engaging training sessions and supporting digital adoption in organisations. You will: Manage a caseload of learners, mentoring, coaching and equipping them to develop the technical skills needed to be successful in their roles Deliver comprehensive training aligned to our apprenticeship programme on Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power Automate. Guide learners in adopting AI-powered features such as Microsoft Copilot, ensuring they understand AI productivity, security, and ethical considerations. Provide training and guidance to learners on how to deliver hands-on digital support, diagnosing and resolving application issues, monitoring system use, and promoting best practices in data security. Coach and mentor learners, helping them build confidence in their digital skills and successfully integrate AI and M365 tools into their role and organisations. Within DBS, the Digital, Information & Technology (DIT) team is responsible for management, support and delivery of the DBS information technology systems and the provision of accurate and timely management information to our customers. Within DIT this role supports thousands of users across defence and a significant number of key defence activities utilising Oracle EBusiness Suite for our Finance and Commercial activities and Remedy for DBS’ core change, case and incident management. As a Software Developer you will be responsible for, but not limited to: Supporting live services, actioning all relevant and ever-greening activities and implementing all associated change. This role will report to the Business Intelligence Lead. You will be expected to work independently but also flexibly as part of a team. To enhance data driven decision making you will assist in the build and implementation of products that transform the way we manage and interact with data, creating innovative solutions that ultimately provide an intuitive experience for a wide array of users primarily within Finance, HR and Commercial. These products will be held within the Corporate BI Platform, comprising two components: a data warehouse and reporting/dashboarding tools. The initial focus of the BI platform has been the core Finance and HR reporting and data processes, but we plan to expand the platform to bring in a range of other non-corporate data sources as well. As the Junior Business Intelligence Developer your key responsibilities will be Technically facilitate the expansion of the BI platform data warehouse, through developing data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) pipelines. Collaborate with teams across DCMS to assist the BI team in understanding reporting requirements. Assist the BI team with the creation of self service, user intuitive reports within a business analytics reporting tool (currently Looker Studio).
