Job Description – Communication & Content Technologies Architect

Context and objective of the mission

The Communication & Content Technologies department provides transversal digital services to various business units, supporting both incoming and outgoing document flows. The department is responsible for generating communications and documents, sending them to customers and partners via paper or electronic channels, archiving incoming and outgoing communications, orchestrating automated processes, and testing, monitoring, and supporting these services.

Mission period

Expected start date: ASAP.
Duration: 12 months. Depending on project evolution, extension is possible.

Language requirements

Mandatory languages:
• English: fluent
• Dutch: basic to fluent
• French: basic to fluent

Location

Brussels centre.

• Comfortable operating in large, transversal contexts with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and legacy systems

Technical experience required
• In-depth knowledge of modern architecture principles and patterns, including DDD, API-based architectures, orchestration, and BPM
• Strong expertise in integration architectures, including REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures
• Proven ability to model and document architectures and processes using UML and Enterprise Architecture tools; ArchiMate is a plus
• Experience with cloud architectures, ideally on Microsoft Azure, including understanding of constraints and trade-offs

Functional experience required
• Solid and proven experience as a Functional and/or Solution Architect in complex IT environments, with a strong track record in end-to-end solution design

Main responsibilities
• Analyze and challenge business requirements and translate them into end-to-end architectural solutions
• Assess impacts on the existing architecture and define target evolutions aligned with strategy and standards
• Define and document functional flows, system interactions, and business rules using UML and architecture diagrams
• Collaborate with project leaders, technical architects, and development teams to ensure feasibility and consistency
• Ensure architectural quality, long-term sustainability, and coherence across transversal initiatives
• Anticipate risks, identify dependencies, and contribute to project and architectural roadmaps
• Actively contribute to architectural alignment and knowledge sharing across teams and stakeholders
