Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Consultant (Finance) – Contract
Location: Belgium (Hybrid with travel as required)

The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant to support the rollout and localisation of the Finance module across Belgium and the Netherlands.
This is a key delivery role within a large-scale D365 F&O transformation programme. The successful consultant will work closely with finance stakeholders, business process owners, project teams, and technical resources to ensure a successful deployment aligned with both global standards and local business requirements.
The ideal candidate will be a proven D365 F&O Finance specialist with multiple end-to-end implementation cycles, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and experience delivering finance workstreams within complex international environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the functional delivery of the D365 F&O Finance workstream across Belgium and the Netherlands.
Facilitate workshops with finance and business stakeholders to gather, challenge, and document requirements.
Analyse existing finance processes and design future-state solutions aligned with D365 best practice.
Configure and optimise D365 F&O Finance modules including:
General Ledger
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Fixed Assets
Cash & Bank Management
Financial Reporting
Budgeting and Cost Control
Support localisation requirements for Belgium and Dutch entities.
Produce high-quality functional design documentation, process maps, and solution specifications.
Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend scalable solutions where standard functionality is not sufficient.
Work closely with technical consultants and developers to support integrations, customisations, and data migration activities.
Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
Deliver end-user training and knowledge transfer to business teams.
Provide post-go-live support and assist with hypercare activities.
Act as a trusted advisor to programme leadership and finance stakeholders.
Candidate profile
Essential Experience
5+ years' experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations projects.
Strong functional expertise across the Finance modules of D365 F&O.
Multiple full lifecycle D365 F&O implementation or rollout projects.
Proven experience leading finance workstreams within enterprise-scale transformation programmes.
Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and reporting requirements.
Experience running workshops and engaging with senior finance stakeholders.
Ability to document requirements, functional designs, and process improvements to a high standard.
Experience supporting testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare phases.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English & French
