freelance tax question

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help as I am doing my tax return.

My gross pay over past 12 months has been 37k, with expenses of 7k

I am outside of IR35.

Can anyone help me with the right calculation? Would I subtract the 7k from the 35k, and then also tax free allowance of 6k?
