Role: Platform Engineer (Central Government Experience & Active SC Clearance Required)
Location: Remote
Contract: 12 weeks, Inside IR35
Start Date: Early September

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with proven Central Government project experience and active SC clearance to join our team on a 12-week contract. You will be instrumental in supporting delivery teams, enhancing infrastructure, and maintaining platform reliability.

• Helm & Helmsman

• Docker (build)

• Kubernetes

• HashiCorp Vault

• Cert-Manager

• Understanding of Java & Spring Boot

• Active SC Clearance (essential)

• Demonstrated experience in central government environments

• Ability to mentor and guide team members through delivery work

• Strong analytical skills to identify and implement infrastructure improvements

• Clear understanding of complex distributed systems

• Ability to conduct effective research to support design and feature implementation

• Lead the team's daily checkpoint calls

• Remove delivery blockers and support team members

• Assist application engineers with platform-related issues

• Draft and implement change requests in production

• Deliver solutions for technical debt and platform enhancements

• Liaise with platform and project leads to ensure strategic alignment

• Act as deputy for the platform lead when required
