Freelance remote job Data Protection Automation Engineer

Our client is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their team in the role of Data Protection Automation Engineer.
This is a fully remote contract role for 12 months initially.
Please note that the role is inside IR35.

Job Description
* Design, develop, test and support automation for the data protection services
* Design, develop, test and support reporting and monitoring capabilities for the automation.
* Provide engineering support on the data protection products and their standard usage.
* Undertake product evaluation, new features, and versions.
* Produce clear and comprehensive documentation for all automation produced.
* Mentor less experienced members of staff

Education & Experience
* 10+ years development experience with multiple languages, including Python, Bash
* 5+ years' experience in configuration management and orchestration using Redhat Ansible
* 5+ years' experience in configuration management and orchestration using Puppet.
* 5+ years' experience in designing, developing, and testing Rest API services.
* 5+ years' experience in Devops SCM tooling, GitHub
* 5+ years' experience in Devops CI/CD tooling, Jenkins, CloudBees
* 5+ years' experience in Devops collaboration tools, Jira, Confluence

Required Technical Skills
* Strong technical background in Veritas NetBackup and related infrastructure
* Strong technical background in Commvault and related infrastructure
