Project Manager – 3-month contract – Northampton

My Customer is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of medium to large-scale, customer-facing projects involving multiple concurrent workstreams. This is a hands-on role that will see you working across technical delivery, business change, and user adoption to ensure smooth, successful outcomes.

Key skills from the Project Manager

• Proven experience in managing medium-to-large scale IT/business change projects.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, track, and coordinate multiple workstreams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing and engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrable experience in business change management and driving user adoption.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level IT projects, ideally including infrastructure upgrades, OS deployments, or ERP implementations.
• Project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile certifications) desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects with multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical specialists, business analysts, and change managers.
• Oversee stakeholder communication at all levels, ensuring clarity, transparency, and alignment.
• Drive business change management activities, including user readiness, training, and adoption strategies.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues promptly, and keep delivery on track.
• Ensure that project outputs meet business requirements and deliver measurable value.

Key Projects You May Be Involved In:

• Windows 11 Deployment – upgrading the business to a modern, secure OS.
• Infrastructure and Network Refresh – delivering a robust, scalable IT backbone.
• SAP Rise ERP Project – implementing and optimising our enterprise resource planning system.

The Project Manager is required onsite in Northampton, 3 days per week.
