Release Manager
3 Month contract initially + Extensions
Based: Remotely
Rate: £700 £760 p/d - (via Umbrella company)

Please note this role provides an excellent opportunity to gain Security Clearance, up to SC level.

Your responsibilities:
Work with the delivery and services teams and client QA, change and Release Management to facilitate the timely promotion of platform changes through shared testing environments and into production.
- Engage with client portfolio and enterprise change and release governance teams to and tenant organisations to schedule environment access and QA/Testing.
- Support delivery teams in preparing necessary documentation
- Help to define and maintain the Forward Schedule of Change
- Work with Tech Leads, Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters and engineers
- Provide analysis of process bottlenecks and constraints
- Suggest measures to improve predictability of releases
- Provide reporting to client stakeholders, including tenants on rates of adoption of released platform features

Key Skills & Experience:
- Familiar with managing releases into large public sector enterprise cloud platforms
- Understand cloud platform development and support
- Relevant AWS certification
- Quality Assurance and DevOps development practices
- This is very much a player-manager role. Short term value will come from taking the co-ordination workload off the existing team. Medium to long term value will come from improving delivery practices and negotiating adjustments to external processes to decrease cycle times.
