We have a current opportunity for a Power Electronics Engineer on a contract basis.
The role is for 9-12 months, with Hybrid working. Please see a breakdown of some of the Job description below, however for further information about this position please apply.
- Lead design and prototyping of electronic and power‑electronic circuits, including schematics, PCB layouts, and manufacturing drawings.
- Test and characterise prototypes; develop and maintain automated test rigs for power‑supply validation.
- Develop and debug FPGA and micro-controller code for power‑supply systems.
- Oversee routine monitoring, testing, and preventative maintenance of power supplies, recommending improvements.
- Lead safety activities, preparing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, and procedures.
- Plan and coordinate shutdowns, installations, commissioning work, and manage contractors and resources.
