Looking to start or grow your career in IT support? HM Land Registry is looking for a Customer Support Operative to provide first-line support and help keep services running smoothly for teams across the organisation.
About the role
You’ll be the first point of contact for IT queries, helping users resolve issues and requests quickly and efficiently. Working in a busy service desk environment, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high standard of customer service while gaining valuable experience in a large-scale IT operation.

What you’ll be doing
Acting as the first point of contact for IT support queries
Logging and managing requests through service management systems
Providing clear guidance and updates to users
Resolving incidents or escalating where needed
Keeping users informed on progress and outcomes
Delivering high-quality customer service at all times
Working with teams to improve service and support processes
Supporting service improvement and team targets
Candidate profile
What we’re looking for
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
A strong interest in IT or technology support
Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
Strong communication skills and a helpful, patient approach
Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing situations
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
Willingness to learn and work towards ITIL or service management qualifications
