Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position is available in Gloucester, London, and Manchester.

Candidate profile

In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver software solutions for mission-critical projects, taking ownership of technical challenges and contributing to the full development lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to innovate, enhance deployment environments, and provide support for live systems, ensuring our solutions deliver lasting value for clients.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical, high-quality solutions. Your problem-solving mindset and adaptability will be key in supporting both new capabilities and the evolution of existing platforms.

• Design & Develop: Build secure, scalable software solutions across the full lifecycle.

• Innovate & Enhance: Configure, implement, and improve existing platforms.

• Support & Sustain: Maintain deployment environments and assist with live system changes.

• Collaborate & Deliver: Work with clients and colleagues to define and assure integrated solutions.

• Learn & Grow: Expand your skills across technologies while contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

You should bring proven software development expertise and a willingness to work across multiple technologies. A positive, adaptable approach and strong problem-solving skills are essential for success.

You should have experience in some of the following:

• Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript (TypeScript), Go

• Frontend Frameworks: Vue.js

• Scripting & Automation: Bash, Ansible

• DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform

• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS

• Testing & Quality: Cucumber, SonarQube

• Monitoring & Logging: ELK Stack, Grafana

• Dataflow & Integration: Apache NiFi

Experience across multiple areas is desirable; a willingness to learn and contribute across the stack is key.
