Job Vacancy Senior React Developer

In this role, you will take ownership of designing, developing and enhancing high-quality front-end applications using React.js and modern JavaScript technologies. You'll create responsive, accessible and scalable user interfaces that deliver seamless digital experiences, translating business requirements and design concepts into reliable, maintainable solutions that drive client success.

Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you'll partner with designers, backend developers and product stakeholders to deliver innovative applications that meet evolving user needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop & Deliver: Build and maintain scalable, responsive web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript.

• Design & Innovate: Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into intuitive, engaging and high-performing user interfaces.

• Build & Reuse: Create reusable components and front-end libraries to improve consistency, efficiency and maintainability.

• Integrate & Collaborate: Connect front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services, working closely with cross-functional teams.

• Optimise & Enhance: Improve application performance, responsiveness and compatibility across devices and browsers.

• Troubleshoot & Resolve: Identify, investigate and resolve technical issues to maintain application quality and reliability.

• Review & Improve: Participate in code reviews, promote clean coding standards and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.

• Explore & Evolve: Stay informed about emerging front-end technologies, sharing ideas and identifying opportunities to enhance digital solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To succeed in this role, you should have strong hands-on experience developing modern web applications using React.js and JavaScript, alongside a solid understanding of front-end engineering principles. You'll bring a collaborative mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. You'll be confident taking ownership of development activities, contributing ideas and working effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Essential skills and experience:

• React.js Development: Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining front-end applications using React.js.

• JavaScript Expertise: Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3.

• Component-Based Architecture: Experience developing reusable, maintainable components and front-end libraries.

• Responsive Design: Proven ability to create responsive applications that work effectively across browsers and devices.

• API Integration: Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services.

• UI/UX Implementation: Ability to translate designs, wireframes and user requirements into functional, intuitive interfaces.

• Performance Optimisation: Understanding of front-end performance optimisation and application debugging techniques.

• Code Quality: Experience writing clean, well-structured, maintainable and documented code, with an understanding of code review practices.

• Collaborative Delivery: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working alongside designers, developers and product stakeholders.

• Continuous Improvement: A proactive approach to problem-solving, learning new technologies and improving development practices.
