AI Engineer (Front End)

£560 per day (Inside IR35) | 12-Month Contract | Remote with Occasional London Travel
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer (Front End) to join a major government programme delivering innovative AI-enabled digital services and user experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI adoption, helping to design and develop intuitive, user-centric interfaces that leverage emerging AI technologies to transform public sector services.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and enhance AI-enabled user interfaces and digital experiences
* Build responsive, accessible, and scalable front-end applications
* Collaborate with product, UX, data, and AI teams to integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing solutions
* Contribute to the design and implementation of modern web and mobile experiences
* Ensure solutions meet government standards for accessibility, security, and performance
* Participate in agile development practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Front End Engineer/Developer delivering modern digital products
* Strong experience building AI-enabled applications or user experiences
* Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue
* Experience integrating AI/LLM technologies into digital products
* Strong understanding of UX, accessibility, and responsive design
* Experience working within UK Government or Public Sector environments (essential)
* Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
* Eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance

Desirable Experience
* Experience developing mobile applications (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, etc.)
* Familiarity with GenAI platforms, copilots, conversational interfaces, or AI-assisted workflows
* Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

* Rate: £560 per day
* IR35: Inside IR35
* Duration: 12 months
* Location: Remote, with occasional travel to London
* Clearance: BPSS Eligible
* Start: ASAP
