Candidate profile

In this role, you will lead the architecture, design and technical delivery of complex SAP programmes, ensuring solutions meet business objectives while maintaining high standards of quality, security and performance. You will take ownership of the overall SAP solution blueprint, guide technical and functional teams and work closely with project managers to ensure successful implementation. Drawing on your expertise across SAP S/4HANA, integration technologies and business processes, you will translate complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions that deliver measurable value.

You will have the autonomy to influence key architectural decisions, challenge existing approaches and introduce innovative ways of working. Supported by CGI’s collaborative culture and wider SAP expertise, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, lead multidisciplinary teams and proactively manage delivery risks. Your leadership will help strengthen project governance, build team capability and ensure SAP transformation initiatives deliver sustainable business outcomes.

• Architect & Design – Lead end-to-end SAP solution architecture, creating robust implementation blueprints and ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

• Lead & Deliver – Oversee SAP S/4HANA and ECC implementations, coordinating functional, technical and business teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

• Integrate & Innovate – Design and guide integrations between SAP and legacy systems using SAP BTP, CPI and PI/PO, including complex data migration activities.

• Collaborate & Influence – Engage business leaders, SAP process owners, technical specialists and project stakeholders to shape solutions and resolve challenges.

• Plan & Govern – Work with project managers to define delivery plans, manage dependencies and establish governance controls for scope, budget and quality.

• Coordinate & Optimise – Lead functional specialists across Sales & Distribution, Finance, Retail and Procure-to-Pay to ensure business requirements are delivered effectively.

• Secure & Assure – Guide SAP security, infrastructure and Basis activities, ensuring compliance, system resilience and appropriate technical controls.

• Test & Validate – Oversee SAP-related defect resolution during system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), supporting successful implementation.

• Monitor & Resolve – Track delivery progress, identify risks and dependencies, manage escalations and proactively address issues before they affect outcomes.

• Mentor & Empower – Guide SAP Centre of Excellence colleagues, share technical knowledge and support continuous improvement across the delivery team.

• Champion Client Success – Act as the primary contact for SAP technical and functional matters, constructively challenging decisions where necessary to protect project objectives and client outcomes.
