A Virtualization Engineer responsible for operating, maintaining, and evolving the European Parliament’s virtualization platforms. This includes VMware-based infrastructure, Nutanix-based clusters, automation, observability, capacity planning, and disaster recovery activities. The engineer ensures a secure, resilient, and efficient virtualization environment supporting mission‑critical services.
· 3+ years of experience in virtualization engineering and infrastructure operations.
· Deep expertise with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, SRM, VSAN.
· Experience managing Nutanix clusters in production environments.
· Strong skills in PowerCLI scripting and automation workflows.
· Experience with observability tools such as Aria Operations.
· Solid understanding of SAN, virtual storage, synchronous replication, and DR architectures.
· Knowledge of automation orchestrators and infrastructure provisioning pipelines.
· Experience in highly available multi‑site architectures.
Candidate profile
