Job Vacancy Managing Consultant – Intelligent Automation & Process Excellence

In this role, you will lead complex client engagements spanning process excellence, operational transformation, AI and intelligent automation. You’ll take end-to-end ownership from discovery and opportunity identification through solution design, proof of concept, implementation and benefits realisation. Working as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you’ll translate business challenges into practical, commercially focused solutions that improve efficiency, reduce cost and enhance service performance.



You’ll also help grow CGI’s intelligent automation capability by developing reusable approaches, standards and accelerators and by coaching colleagues. Supported by multidisciplinary consulting, engineering and analytics teams, you’ll have the scope to explore new approaches, turn innovative ideas into scalable solutions and strengthen CGI’s position as a trusted transformation partner.



Lead & Transform: Own complex process excellence, AI and intelligent automation engagements, delivering measurable client outcomes.

Discover & Optimise: Diagnose operational inefficiencies through process discovery, modelling, value-stream analysis and operational assessment.

Design & Deliver: Create future-state processes, operating models and scalable automation solutions aligned to business needs.

Innovate & Scale: Lead automation and AI proofs of concept and develop clear pathways into production and enterprise-scale adoption.

Govern & Realise Value: Manage scope, resources, dependencies, risks, testing, deployment and benefits realisation across complex workstreams.

Advise & Influence: Build trusted relationships with executives and transformation sponsors, presenting compelling recommendations and business cases.

Develop & Accelerate: Create reusable frameworks, methodologies, templates and accelerators that improve delivery quality and scalability.

Collaborate & Integrate: Work across consulting, engineering, analytics and client teams to ensure solutions integrate effectively into operations.

Coach & Enable: Mentor consultants and Business Analysts, share expertise and contribute to communities of practice and capability development.

Grow & Evolve: Support automation-led opportunities, client expansion and the continued development of CGI’s transformation proposition.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

You will bring significant consulting or enterprise transformation experience alongside practical expertise in process excellence, AI and intelligent automation. You should be comfortable owning complex engagements, advising senior executives and translating strategic objectives into solutions that can be implemented and scaled. You’ll combine commercial awareness and strong delivery leadership with a collaborative approach, while being confident exploring emerging technologies and supporting others to develop their capabilities.



Extensive experience in process excellence, operational transformation, AI, intelligent automation or related consulting and delivery roles.

Proven delivery leadership: Experience leading medium-to-large transformation, optimisation or automation engagements end to end.

Executive stakeholder management: Strong experience operating with C-suite stakeholders, senior sponsors and leadership teams.

Process excellence expertise: Strong knowledge of process improvement, Lean/continuous improvement, process modelling, value-stream analysis, KPIs and operating-model design.

Intelligent automation capability: Practical understanding of RPA, workflow automation, low-code/no-code solutions, process/task mining and AI-assisted automation.

AI and automation delivery: Proven experience designing, implementing or scaling AI and intelligent automation solutions, including PoCs.

Delivery management: Experience managing plans, resources, estimates, dependencies, risks, testing, deployment, governance and benefits realisation.

Technology awareness: Experience with platforms such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, process discovery/modelling tools, GenAI tooling, AWS Bedrock or SaaS platforms is desirable.

Consulting capability: Strong communication, facilitation, commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex challenges into clear recommendations.

People development: Proven ability to coach and mentor colleagues, share knowledge and help build sustainable consulting and delivery capability.
