Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Candidate profile
You'll also contribute to the growth of CGI's Business Consulting practice by supporting business development activities, developing innovative propositions and sharing your expertise with colleagues. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll help shape future data solutions while mentoring others and promoting best practices in cloud architecture, data governance and modern data technologies.
Key responsibilities
• Lead & advise clients on enterprise data architecture and cloud strategy
• Design & develop scalable data architecture solutions using Azure and other cloud platforms
• Shape & support strategic data transformation programmes
• Facilitate & lead client workshops, meetings and architecture discussions
• Define & document solution architectures, technical roadmaps and delivery approaches
• Collaborate & partner with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions
• Support & contribute to data governance, cataloguing and information management initiatives
• Develop & optimise data platforms using modern cloud technologies and best practices
• Contribute & support business development, proposal activities and proposition development
• Mentor & share knowledge across consulting teams to strengthen technical capability
• Evaluate & recommend emerging technologies to enhance client data strategies
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You'll be an experienced Data Architect or senior data consultant with a strong background in designing enterprise-scale cloud data solutions and advising clients on technology strategy. You'll combine deep technical knowledge with excellent consulting and communication skills, enabling you to translate complex concepts into practical solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Essential qualifications
• Proven experience designing enterprise data architecture solutions
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies
• Experience owning and delivering cloud-based data solutions, with Azure as a minimum (AWS or GCP experience is beneficial)
• Knowledge of Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and Lakehouse architectures
• Experience with data modelling and modern data architecture principles
• Expertise in one or more Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric
• Experience leading client workshops, meetings and technical discussions
• Experience supporting large-scale business or technology transformation programmes
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and consulting skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations
Desirable qualifications
• Experience owning end-to-end solution architecture
• Data and AI strategy development
• Data governance and data cataloguing
• Business intelligence and insight solution design
• Data workflow optimisation
• Microsoft Azure certifications
• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform
