Candidate profile

In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary AI delivery teams, combining strategic consulting, technical understanding and commercial insight to help clients realise measurable value from AI. You'll take ownership of client engagements, from initial discovery and opportunity assessment through to proof of value, implementation and operational handover. Working closely with architects, engineers and business stakeholders, you'll translate complex challenges into practical delivery plans, ensuring solutions are commercially viable, technically sound and aligned with client priorities.

You'll also play a key role in developing the capabilities of your team, creating an environment where colleagues can experiment, collaborate and grow. Supported by CGI's wider community of technology and industry experts, you'll champion responsible AI adoption, influence senior stakeholders and contribute to the development of reusable approaches that accelerate innovation and strengthen client relationships.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Lead & Deliver: Own AI delivery plans, manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate priorities, resources and outcomes across client engagements.

- Discover & Shape: Facilitate executive workshops, AI maturity assessments and use case prioritisation sessions, translating business challenges into actionable opportunities.

- Innovate & Validate: Guide the design and delivery of AI proofs of value, establishing acceptance criteria, evaluating feasibility and determining readiness for further investment.

- Measure & Demonstrate Value: Define business outcomes, establish performance baselines and assess AI economics, including implementation costs, operational expenditure and anticipated benefits.

- Collaborate & Influence: Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, architects and delivery specialists, ensuring technical decisions support business objectives.

- Champion Responsible AI: Embed appropriate governance, security, ethical considerations and adoption requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.

- Transition & Scale: Coordinate production readiness, operational handover and ongoing support arrangements to enable sustainable AI adoption.

- Coach & Develop: Provide leadership, mentoring and constructive feedback to engineering colleagues, supporting individual development and high-performing teams.

- Shape & Grow: Identify commercial opportunities, contribute to proposals and bids, and develop reusable delivery approaches that strengthen CGI's AI consulting capabilities.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring a strong background in technology consulting, delivery leadership and client engagement, alongside a practical understanding of AI and enterprise technology. You'll be confident translating complex business challenges into achievable technology solutions, leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Combining commercial awareness with a collaborative leadership style, you'll be comfortable navigating ambiguity, making informed decisions and supporting clients through technology-driven change.

You should demonstrate:

- Technology Consulting Experience: Proven experience advising clients on technology strategy, transformation and delivery, translating business requirements into practical solutions.

- AI & Emerging Technology Knowledge: Strong understanding of AI technologies, use cases and enterprise applications, including the opportunities, limitations and considerations involved in implementation.

- Business Value & Commercial Awareness: Experience developing business cases, evaluating technology investments, defining measurable outcomes and supporting commercial proposals.

- Agile & Iterative Delivery: Practical experience working with agile methodologies, managing delivery backlogs and guiding solutions from discovery through to implementation.

- Responsible AI & Governance: Awareness of AI governance, security, data protection, adoption and operational considerations within enterprise environments.

- People Leadership & Coaching: Experience mentoring colleagues, developing team capabilities and fostering effective collaboration across diverse disciplines.
