At CGI, we’re helping transform the UK justice system by delivering innovative digital services that make courts and tribunals more effective, accessible and responsive to the public. As a Business Analyst supporting one of our key UK Government client programmes, you’ll play a vital role in shaping solutions that improve essential public services. Working collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll take ownership of requirements, challenge existing processes and bring creative thinking to complex problems. You’ll have the opportunity to influence meaningful change, contribute to continuous improvement and develop your expertise within a supportive community of professionals committed to delivering lasting value for our clients and society.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Candidate profile

In this role, you will help shape and deliver continuous improvements on our client’s services, working closely with client Product Owners, Service Managers and CGI's Continuous Improvement squads. You will take ownership of gathering, analysing and refining business requirements, translating complex needs into clear, actionable solutions that support the ongoing transformation of critical justice services.

Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including user researchers, user experience specialists and service designers, to ensure solutions meet business and user needs. You'll be encouraged to challenge assumptions, explore innovative approaches and identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery. Supported by an experienced and collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions and contribute to meaningful outcomes for the client.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Analyse & Define: Gather, document and validate business requirements, ensuring they align with client objectives and service improvement priorities.

• Lead & Facilitate: Organise and lead stakeholder workshops to elicit requirements, prioritise business needs and define user journeys.

• Collaborate & Engage: Build strong relationships with client Product Owners, Service Managers, CGI delivery teams and other Continuous Improvement squads.

• Refine & Deliver: Create and refine Jira user stories and tickets, ensuring requirements and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and ready for development.

• Model & Document: Develop business process models, functional flows and data models to support solution design and development.

• Translate & Communicate: Convert complex business requirements into clear functional specifications, business rules and solution documentation.

• Challenge & Improve: Identify opportunities to simplify processes, enhance user experiences and drive continuous service improvements.

• Support Agile Delivery: Work collaboratively throughout the delivery lifecycle, responding to queries, clarifying requirements and supporting successful implementation.

• Validate & Assure: Review and refine solution documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness and alignment with agreed business requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To succeed in this role, you will bring proven Business Analysis experience within Agile delivery environments, alongside strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. You will be confident working with complex requirements, facilitating discussions and translating business needs into practical technical solutions. Your curiosity, attention to detail and creative approach to problem-solving will enable you to contribute effectively to continuous improvement initiatives while building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

You should demonstrate:

• Business Analysis Experience: Proven experience gathering, analysing, documenting and managing business requirements across complex stakeholder environments.

• Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices, with hands-on experience working within multidisciplinary Agile teams.

• Jira & Confluence: Practical experience using Jira to manage and refine user stories and Confluence to document requirements and collaborate with delivery teams.

• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Workshop Facilitation: Experience organising and leading requirements workshops, prioritisation sessions and user journey discussions.

• Business Process Modelling: Ability to document business processes, functional flows and business rules, with an understanding of relational database design.

• Requirements Documentation: Experience producing clear functional specifications, solution documentation and well-defined acceptance criteria.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong conceptual thinking, attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions.

• Collaborative Delivery: Proven ability to work with Product Owners, Service Managers, user researchers, designers and development teams.
