Software Development Technical Lead Responsibilities

- Translate SAFe features and enablers into technical designs and development stories.
- Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable enterprise applications.
- Establish coding standards, conduct peer reviews and reduce technical debt.
- Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance throughout delivery.
- Collaborate with System Architects and Technical Leads to manage cross-team dependencies.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and Infrastructure as Code.
- Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices.
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and SAFe planning activities.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and communicate architectural decisions to stakeholders.

Software Development Technical Lead Skills and Experience

- Extensive experience in IT engineering and application architecture.
- Proven experience as a Senior Developer or Technical Lead within Agile/SAFe teams.
- Strong full-stack software development experience using modern programming languages.
- Proven experience designing secure, high-availability enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture and development patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, code quality and technical governance.
- Proven technical leadership, mentoring and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile Scrum and SAFe delivery environments.
- IT/Engineering NVQ Level 4, relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
- AWS, Azure, Agile/SAFe and ITIL certifications are relevant professional credentials.
