Do I need to register?

Hi, I currently work full time over 4 day for a company as a Graphic Designer, but now I am also taking on some freelancce work on my days off. Do I need to register as self employed or anything for tax purposes. Any advice anyone could give would be much appreciated. thanks.

You will need to register as self employed by filling out a CWF1 form which you can download from the HMRC website. It is important that you do this within 3 months of starting your freelance work or you could be liable to a £100 fine
