Hi all.
Recently one of my clients asked for 60off A3 prints of a few visuals I had produced.
I gave the work to my local, regular printer - along with a request for 9off A2 prints.
All of this work was VERY last minute... however, I've just had the bill and I've been charged £2.50 ex vat per A3 print. What can I realistically charge my client? they were printed on a satin finish standard 80grm paper - nothing special - just good quality from a colour copier. (I'm thinking this is a bit steep – even tho Staples charge over £3.00 per copy)
However for the A2 prints I was only charged £7 ex Vat - which I think was fair.
Taking into account I had to also supply these on Bank Holiday Monday - any opinions on what to charge? (all design work is being billed as a different job - I'm just talking about the printing)

I used to work as a designer / artworker at a high street print shop
and its ridiculous what they charge for A4 & A3 outputs!!
Depends on the relationship with your client, of course, but i would probably put a higher mark up on the A2 outputs, which most people would expect to cost more than what you paid! And a smaller mark up on the A3 outptus
Then you can still make money on the job!
Thats my opinion, hope that helps!!
