I do not work in the cybersecurity field, but I believe that it is very important that every person knows about the basic principles of cybersecurity and implements them in their lives.

In the modern world, where most of our lives are spent on the Internet, cybersecurity is becoming increasingly relevant. Fraudsters are coming up with new ways to deceive people and steal their personal data.

To protect yourself from these threats, it is important to follow these rules:

Use strong passwords. Your passwords must be complex and contain at least 12 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters.

Change your passwords regularly. Change your passwords every 90 days, or more frequently if you suspect they have been compromised.

Enable two-factor authentication (2FA). 2FA adds an extra layer of security to your accounts as hackers not only need to know your password, but also have access to your mobile device to gain access to your account.

I personally use OTP tokens for almost all accounts, including email, bank accounts, social media and any other accounts where I have access to sensitive information.

OTP tokens generate one-time passwords, which are required to log into the system. This adds an extra layer of security to your account as hackers not only need to know your password but also have access to your mobile device to gain access to your account.

Be careful on the Internet! Don't open suspicious emails, click on links from unknown senders, or enter your personal information on unknown sites.
