I have had this situation once but a long time ago, publishing to pdf from coreldraw, when I got to the problem it was that the text had not been converted to curves prior to export, I emailed the file to a customer & when he opened it all the text was misaligned.
When I converted the text to curves, and resent it, it was fine.
