We are recruiting for a DevOps Engineer to join our Assessment API team. This key role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and evolution of our critical AWS-based infrastructure. You will be instrumental in driving reliability, scalability, and efficiency for our English language assessment APIs and the products and services they enable.

- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable safe, reliable, and frequent software deployments.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
- Partner with development teams to provide technical guidance and drive the adoption of a DevOps culture.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily with Terraform.
- Build and optimise robust CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality gates for reliable, frequent software deployments.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, utilising tools such as CloudWatch, ELK stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity and system resilience.
- Apply and maintain security best practices across cloud environments and deployment workflows, meeting relevant compliance standards.
- Develop automation scripts using languages like Bash or Python for platform maintenance and optimisation.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, providing technical guidance and driving the adoption of a DevOps culture.
- Document infrastructure configurations, operational procedures, and mentor team members in DevOps practices and technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts to minimise service disruptions and maintain platform stability.
