At CGI, you’ll help shape the future for clients across the UK by turning complex challenges into clear, actionable outcomes. As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in driving strategic change, improving critical services, and delivering solutions that create lasting value. You’ll work at the heart of high-impact programmes, collaborating with clients and CGI teams to design experiences, processes, and systems that move organisations forward. This growth opportunity enables you to influence direction, contribute to a thriving community, and build a career where ownership, creativity, and support are integral to how we work.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of much of our work, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Candidate profile

In this role, you will work directly with clients and CGI delivery teams to analyse challenges, shape requirements, and help design solutions that drive real business change. You’ll take ownership of understanding how organisations operate today, uncover opportunities for improvement, and translate ideas into clear, structured specifications that enable successful delivery. Supported by collaborative teams, you’ll bring insight, creativity, and clarity to every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyse & Define: Work with stakeholders to model processes, systems, data flows, and business needs.

• Investigate & Improve: Explore operational challenges and identify opportunities for enhanced performance.

• Validate & Assure: Support acceptance criteria, testing, and solution validation to meet business expectations.

• Shape & Prioritise: Define scope for small-scale change and contribute to solution shaping and direction.

• Document & Elicit: Produce high-quality requirements, specifications, and models aligned to business objectives.

• Collaborate & Align: Manage stakeholder engagement, expectations, and communication across teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To be successful, you should bring strong experience across business analysis disciplines, a track record of delivering business change or transformation, and the ability to build trusted relationships across business and technical teams. You’ll excel by applying structured thinking, attention to detail, and the confidence to navigate complexity.

Essential qualifications include:

• Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst across full lifecycle change or transformation projects.

• Strong capability in business process modelling, scope management, costing, and producing specification documentation.

• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships across business and IT stakeholders.

• Experience with bid processes, product implementation, gap analysis, and process change.

• Attributes such as proactive delivery, persuasive communication, strong relationship-building, and the ability to manage complexity and multitask effectively.

Desirable:

• Experience across multiple sectors or complex multi-process programmes.

• Progress toward the BCS ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis.
