Job Title: IT Assistant - Application Support

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This role will require full time on site working

Salary: Circa £30,000 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

• Monitoring server processes and services whilst undertaking basic system health checks
• Supporting with User account management and the administration of user accounts
• Reviewing and logging incoming new work requests
• Managing the build out of new environments and the deployment of application updates
• Collaborating with the Service Team, End Users and 3rd parties to investigate, identify and resolve system problems
• Assisting with software testing
• Helping to streamline processes and innovating, utilising PowerShell

Skills and experiences:

Essential:

• You will need to hold a Diploma or above in Computer Science
• Have relevant Windows Server Administration experience
• Software configuration control experience
• Experience of Configuration Management tools and processes

Desirable

• An understanding of Computer Aided Design (CAD) toolsets
• Oracle SQL Experience would be advantageous

The Product Development CAD Admin team:

Here in the team, we provide support and delivery aspects across the Boat Programmes for a number of in-house developed and "off the shelf" Apps. You will have a fantastic opportunity to engage and liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve total customer satisfaction. This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop new and hone existing skills. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
