We start the day with a stand up to discuss what we are working on and any blockers we may have and then get stuck into our tasks for the day. Our custom IAMS solution is used by thousands of users across the Met Office and our customers. We employ Azure, AWS and ServiceNow as identity providers, for CI/CD, workflows, testing and more. The tasks you pick up from the Jira board will be varied and will provide opportunities to master multiple technologies. As a DevOps Engineer, you will architect and implement novel solutions to complex identity challenges and deliver them to production whilst providing technical mentorship to junior colleagues and the development teams of consuming services. Identity and Access Management (IAM) extends far beyond a pane in the AWS console for us. Our team are experts in identity from on-premise to the cloud, from Azure to AWS, from SAML to OIDC, from MFA to verified ID. I am seeking an Embedded Engineer with 3+ years low level embedded C/C++ development expertise with a solid understanding of electronics and a good knowledge of modern software practices. You should be able to bring innovative design and quality processes to this small team. Suitable applicants will have a relevant degree and bare metal /RTOS CPU's programming. Strong embedded C/C++ is essential but this should be combined with some of the following: Skilled with scripting methods, such as Python, bash, shell, perl. Understanding of register maps and memory spaces within SoCs. Experience analysing waveforms from oscilloscopes. communication protocol knowledge such as SPI, I2C, parallel busses etc. GCC, makefiles, linker scripts, GDB, git, gitlab or github, CI/CD, automated build systems. MISRA / quality-assurance techniques ability read and understand schematics. knowledge of VHDL / Verilog for ASIC / FPGA design. We are currently working with an exciting Sat-Comms client of ours based in West London seeking a Senior Antenna Engineer to join their established engineering team. You will be focusing on antenna development for their L-Band Terminal portfolio. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Antenna & RF Engineers and various teams to design and deliver high-quality antenna solutions meeting performance, cost, and schedule requirements. Responsibilities as a Senior Antenna Engineer include: Designing and documenting L-Band antenna technology. Overseeing the development process from concept to mass production. Utilising trade-offs for compact terminal antenna development. Testing and verifying designs using various methods. Researching new antenna solutions and addressing technical conflicts. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and product qualification. Experience required as a Senior Antenna Engineer: Experience in antenna design, preferably in L-Band. Proficiency in electromagnetics, wave propagation, and RF materials. Experience with simulation tools such as CST and Antenna Magus. Familiarity with RF testing equipment and antenna testing methods. Knowledge of satellite communication terminals and related technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Desirable qualifications: Experience with omni antenna development and satellite communications. Familiarity with Inmarsat, Iridium, and Thuraya terminals. RF design expertise.
