The opportunity

You'll be collaborating with our Marketing colleagues to deliver insightful analytics to help optimise marketing strategies, campaigns and customer engagement initiatives. Primarily this will include analysing the impact of CRM campaigns via email and push, as well as other channels, using data to ‘tell a story' to the marketing team - what was the value generated? What worked / didn't work?, adding your recommendations to help with improving the effectiveness of future marketing campaigns. Covering a global customer base, you could be working with data from partners like American Express and Nectar, through to all our group airline brands.

You'll share your actionable insights through great storytelling and visualisation. You'll play an important part in driving the right decisions to support optimisations across our marketing initiatives. 

You'll have a wealth of data to work with, and you'll influence the future of how we approach data, working with our Data Product Owners and Tech Leads as we migrate into our modern data stack in Snowflake and build new datasets and capabilities. 

Not only will you play a key role within your team, but you'll also contribute to the wider Analytics community.

What you'll get up to

  • Performing analysis on commercial and customer data through coding and applying data analysis techniques to uncover opportunities to enhance our partnerships. 

  • Developing reporting, data, and analytical products. 

  • Taking on various types of work to support stakeholder needs. 

  • Turning business requirements into data solutions that are high-quality through solid collaboration with colleagues in the team and across multiple domains.  

  • Communicating effectively - being able to articulate actionable insights in a simple and effective manner to the wider commercial & marketing teams. 

  • Sharing learnings across the Data department. 

 

What we need from you 

  • Experience taking a problem from ideation through to solution that's supports business outcomes. 

  • Hands on with writing SQL queries for data analysis and reporting. 

  • Experience of CRM platforms - ideally Salesforce, but other CRMs will also work for us

  • Experience of analysing large datasets. 

  • You can demonstrate how you tell stories with data, with the ability to create visualisation to bring it to life using Tableau or an equivalent visualisation tool

  • You're someone who is keen to solve problems and who focuses on progress to get things into our colleagues' hands sooner. 

  • You're used to working with agility in mind, in an environment where you break work down and focus on delivering iteratively.
