Systems Engineer Contract - Outside IR35 - On-site - £60-£65 per hour I am working with a long-standing client of IC Resources that have tasked me with finding them 3 Systems Engineers on a contact basis to work on an upcoming SoC bring-up and validation project. The main project tasks will include board bring-up of the FPGA based SoC, getting it to boot and to get the RTOS up and running and passing all expected tests. You will also be responsible for code reviews and some code amendments in C. As the right engineer you will need solid experience of low level embedded software and experience working directly with the hardware. For the Software side, you will need strong C coding experience, have worked previously on proprietary RTOS, experience working with interrupts and hardware registers and ARM architectures. Additional experience that would be beneficial would be an understanding of Linux or Zephyr platforms. For the Hardware side, you will need a strong understanding of the digital hardware in the perspective of debugging the wider system and have experience using oscilloscopes and/or logic analysers. An awareness of open-chassis hardware and the Metaware debugger would be beneficial.
