Job Description Front Arena Developer Our Client is looking to recruit several Sungard's Front Arena Developers/Consultants You will have at least 3 to 5 years solid back ground of working with Sungard's or FIS Global's Front Arena product. The role is to develop and support Front Arena applications through extending and integrating the core Front Architecture. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop highly visible applications within Front Arena. • Design and develop integrations with other trading and back office applications. • Support Trading Manager and the applications that utilize its output e.g. overnight risk/scenarios and Mark-to-Market. • Provide occasional support for other Front Arena developed applications. • Actively contribute in gaining application and business knowledge for the development team. The following skills and experience are considered essential for this role: • Deep understanding of Front Arena and its programming languages: ADFL, ACM. AEL, ASQL and Python. • Knowledge of Front Arena Architecture and components: ADS, ATS and Service Bus. • Must be able to liaise and clearly communicate with colleagues. • Experience of interacting with end users in the financial industry. • Ability to work independently and solve business problems through own initiative. • Ability to work in a fast changing environment Desirable skills/experience: • Experience of the Front Arena 4 track. • Experience of custom model integration. • Experience of other Trading Systems. • MS SQL • Knowledge of Financial Derivatives This is a 6 month contract based in London. Job Description Developer with Findur, SQL and Java - Application Support - City London Our Client is an International Bank with offices in the City of London. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Developer with Openlink's Findur, SQL and Java. Although the role is for an individual to develop and support the Treasury applications systems for the bank. You will be working MS SQL Server be supporting the London and Global Treasury Applications and Systems along with Openlinks Findur treasury system. As MS SQL Server DBA with Application Support you will be involved with developing and implementing solutions for London and Global Treasury Systems requirements. Must have Findur with Java and JVS development skills. Ensure the integrity, security and accuracy of production database environment, ensuring good performance of the dependent applications. Plan and implement operating procedures for backup of database and recovery of database information. Develop database-related application development standards covering database creation, software placement, storage and auditing. Ensures the integrity of the recovery system at all times. Initiates formal testing of the recovery system. Develops database procedures as necessary to enhance the application suite as required. Responds to, resolves and documents support calls for the production and test applications. Maintains to a high standard documentation supporting the build, maintenance and operational procedures of the database environment. Acts as the technical liaison between database operations and vendor support. Performs other related duties as assigned. You must have at least 2 to 5 years solid expertise as a MS SQL Server DBA 2005 and 2008 coupled with Java development and support. You must have the Microsoft SQL Server Administration (Enterprise Edition) experience. High Level T-SQL programming (SP, Functions, Triggers). Operation, design and implementation experience of Mirroring, Log Shipping and SQL Server Replication. SQL Reporting services and Analysis services maintenance and tuning. Good understanding of WINTEL environment with AD domain and user administration. OpenLink Findur Treasury Application would be handy but not a must. Change management concepts and application Configuration and operation of clustered database Servers using external storage. Scripting stored procedures. The role will be to work as a MS SQL DBA with an element of supporting financial applications development with SQL Server and Java.
