Job Description About the Job Oracle Forms Software Systems Test Engineer - Harrogate Our Client is a financial institution developing software for the pensions insurance and wealth management investment banking world. They are a leading insurer and wealth management company in the UK. They are looking to recruit a Software Systems Tester with at least 2 years experience of testing robust software applications manually. You will be testing Oracle Forms software along with SQL Server. You must have a thorough knowledge of manual testing procedures and structured test methods and processes. Experience of producing automated regression, validation and performance test suites. Proven experience of testing complex user interfaces. Detailed knowledge of both manual and automated testing methods. Experience of testing database applications. Ability to build test rigs and effectively manage test data. ISEB Foundation Certificate or equivalent in Software Testing. Any existing knowledge of the Insurance (particularly Life & Pension) and/or wider financial services industry; business processes, distribution & company internal structures, products & remuneration would be very beneficial although not a must. My client is a market leader and a globally respected brand in the design and development of audio devices and technology. They’re currently looking to hire an experienced Audio Software Test Engineer to join their test/QA team to focus on delivering the next generation of their products. This team focuses on manual and automated testing for all software - mobile apps, web, middleware, embedded and firmware. You will be responsible for the testing of product software and target device applications. Working from initial software specifications you will develop and run test plans for customer acceptance testing, partner compliance, supporting software releases into production. With a minimum of 2 years Audio test experience, ideally focused on manual testing, your role will be to develop manual software test plans and implement them, working closely with the sw development teams. You will also identify automated test opportunities and be involved in development and implementation. Audio software experience test is essential for this role. Python scripting experience would be ideal. Manual device testing would also be useful. They offer hybrid working (3 days a week in the office), so you will need to live within commutable distance of their offices.
